Popular children's author, Anne Fine, reveals what inspired her to become a writer. She'll share her stories, answer questions and sign books (for sale on the day).
Having written over fifty books for children of all ages, Anne Fine became Children's Laureate in 2001. Anne's story, Flour Babies, won one of Britain's most coveted awards for children's literature, the Carnegie Medal. Adaptations of her books Bill's New Frock and Google-Eyes have been screened by the BBC and Twentieth Century Fox filmed her novel, Madame Doubtfire as Mrs Doubtfire, starring Robin Williams. Anne's work has been translated into over thirty languages.
In 2003 she became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and was awarded an OBE.
